[urq] My bent strut vs going to coil overs on early car D497

My mechanic told me my LF 'strut housing and wheel
bearing holder' is bent so I've been trying to get a
replacement.  The car has noticable positive camber
and doesn't handle very well.  First I'm going to
remove it to actually verify that it is bent and
where.  Installed in the car I don't notice anything
unusual.

Lots of folks talk about coil-overs - maybe it would
be cheaper for me to just convert the one side to
coilovers if that will cure the problem.  So give me
an idea if this makes sense.   Who sells coilover kits
or who has a web page on doing this?
