FWIW, I have the original invoice for the springs you bought from Rich.  The 
kit was 29545, and is supposed to lower the car 1.5" front and rear.  It also 
states that the fronts should have a blue mark on them, and the rears a yellow 
mark.  Also, if it would help, I could email you a picture of how my car 
looked with those springs installed... in terms of how low it was.

3" difference in height seems extreme.  I would also look for any marks on 
them that might indicate they were cut.
