Hey Gang:

Its great to be able to post to the list again. This is very much thanks to Justin Riley who figured out my "clutch" problem. Appeared to be jammed selectors in the gearbox, which broke free after cranking in gear on the starter.

However, I was next in line at the toll booth this morning, put her into gear, and the accelerator went to the floor..........Nothing. Got a push from some nice toll guys to the side and found that the linkage had separated under the dash where the "pin" from the pedal arm links to a counter weighted "eye" in the linkage.

Sorry for the generic terms, but a combination of trifocals and no light made for a "feel" fix.

At last to my question. How is the "pin" held in place within the "eye"?

There appeared to be some sort of rubber bushing which I assume is to damp vibration, but I could not feel any ridge for a circlip or hole for a cotter pin.

Any description and help from the FA for parts would be most appreciated.

Thanks

John Corbs
