You haven't done the old favourite and connected the two purple and black
connectors together have you?
Or
When you hold the check button for 3 seconds can you hear the relays in the
unit click in to action but no sound? If so check the leads to the speaker -
worth using s separate speaker just to test until working fine.
Or have you checked the three sources of power to the unit - refer to Phil
P's pin out notes on his site. (from memory - pemanent live, ignition, and
from cigar lighter)

I'm probably teaching granny to suck eggs here but hope my 2p is of use.
