[urq] CV Boot replacement

Hey guys-
I noticed that one of my outer CV boots has a minor tear in it.  I would like to replace it while I'm in there.  Any tips on making this project less of a PITA?  A couple issues I'm facing.  All the struts are removed, so I have no brakes to use.  This is important because I'd almost like to just take off the axle and bring it to a mechanic.  But how do you loosen the axle bolts if you have no brakes to keep the axle from spinning?  Would a high power impact wrench do the trick?

So any tips for doing the repair or taking the axle off are appreciated.
