> Well, noticing the replies you are not getting, everyone one is
embarrassed by your post!

Actually, I've received 14 replies privately and the interesting thing is
that the majority of them (10) confided that their next daily-driver
probably won't be an Audi, either. For a variety of reasons, it appears the
buttons Audi pushed with the UrQ aren't being pushed with their current
range of cars and when it comes time to vote with their checkbook, many
people -- myself included -- are having difficulty convincing themselves
that it's worth paying the premium necessary to buy one. Since 1984, I've
owned an even dozen Audis (all bought used, of course), but the cars Audi's
making today (or more specifically, the ones they've made in the past few
years) have minimal appeal to me. And the ones that do appeal to me are
selling for more than I'm willing to pay, so "turning Japanese" was pretty
much the only option left.

I have no doubt my Nissan will have returned to dust long before a similar
vintage Audi will but IMO, if I get five years and 100k out of a $12k car --
I bought it used with 5k on it -- then I'll be happy that I've gotten my
money's worth from it.

> SHEET JEFFEREY! that car is Japanese! what the bloody hell is wrong with
you? did you eat some bad mad beef? are you gonna buy a itchypussy next? or
shudder a celica?.

Nope, there are no silly-cars or crayloas in the works for me, thank you. I
did actually consider a Mitsubishi, but the only one that interested me was
the EVO and it was fugly and I wasn't willing to spend that much. As for
the Nissans being Japanese, mine was actually built in Mexico, so there! ;^)
