I've never seen anything like that at all, not even grovelling under accident-damaged wrecks.
That's a complete snap just inboard of the camber adjustment.
The only thing I've ever seen in that area of a car was a mismatch between the "stock"
wishbone (aka A-arm) and the tongue on the ball joint carrier - but I would have thought that
a unique-to-urq problem. It's in the service microfiche - some "A-arms" were thinner than
others and there was a corresponding ball joint with a thinner tongue - if you put such a ball
joint into a standard A-arm you might get what you have. But - as above - I would have
thought it ur-quattro only.
BTW - it's not on ETKA - only the service fiche. "Gleitender Einsatz", it says.
