It's a WR, so disregard any references to external pressure regulators &
duty cycles.These do not apply to the WR.
I have heard of coils going intermittant - but I would expect running
problems too.
What happens if you disconnect the electrical connection to the cold start
injector. Try this for a bit and see if it starts better on average.
The ECU is not very good at handling low voltage during cranking and may not
give a spark. If the battery is good - what about the condition of the
starter motor - maybe it's drawing too much current and/or cranking too
slowly.
BTW almost all the WR's I've seen can take a slightly irritating amount of
cranking on cold starts. The length of time spent cranking seems directly
proportional to the amount of people standing around watching multiplied by
your embarrasment level. I wish I could get mine to start at the flick of
the key every time...
