[urq] A/C Fan question

... not 100% sure this applies to the newer cars, but I looked into the IST
for someone else who had reported issues with the cooling fan functionality
with A/C ...
Page 9 of the IST manual has a schematic drawing of the rad fan operation It
shows that the circuitry that controls the rad fan is powered from the "A/C
Power Supply" relay. The microswitch on the temp control panel enables the
"A/C Double Relay" ... which should pretty directly cause the rad fan to run
at medium speed. It looks as though if the interior blower works it pretty
much confirms that all of this circuitry is functioning. If the blower is
functional but the rad fan is not running at medium speed, I would suspect
the dropping resistor in the rad fan motor itself is bad. From this diagram
it would appear that if the internal resistor is bad then the after-run
cooling fan speed would be non-functional as well.
Consult the Bentley for the details on the reference designations for the
relay as well as the actual wiring for your car ...
