I have 225/50 Yokohama AVS Intermediates on my'84 with 15x8 ronals.
On my '85 ur-q which wears Coupe GT body work I am running Fuchs
with 195/55s I chose this size to make sure they cleared the un-flared
arches. I find the 225/50 look great but are quite harsh riding, they
slam on expansion joints, also the old AVS tread pattern/compound is
not very good on slick roads, they are easy to lock up. I love the weight
and feel of the Fuchs with A520 rubber, even though the 195s are narrow
the car is really chuckable.
cheers, Mike

Ditto -
I like the Z rated 225/50 on the 8 X 15 Ronals. I also have the 205/55 on
Fuchs and they do give a lighter steering feel.
205/50 would be pretty small diameter, too I think. Personally I wouldn't
go for the 205/50's......
