[urq] electrical issues

My 83 UrQ, under dash fusebox, has got problems (don't they all).
Recently, I've been plagued by a bouncing tach with the signals on, and
from SJM's site, I see that those go through the same path in the fusebox,
I'll be fixing that shortly.

But now, one of the relays under the dash, closer to the steering wheel,
where there is a line of relays (turn signal flasher and hot pulse relay
are two of them), the second one in from the left has made a habit of
clicking profusely. I've opened the relay, and all looks well inside, it's
just a standard relay. Any idea what this relay is for? I've debated just
pulling it out with the engine running to see if anything dies, and then
just ditching it altogether. Jiggling the relay around in the socket does
nothing, so maybe what switches it is flaky?

I got a new fusebox for cheap, so I'll be replacing the old burnt one.
Then this summer/fall when the 3b goes in, I'll upgrade to the under dash
box.

Ideas on the clicking relay?

Thanks!

Nathan
