[urq] Longer Hood Pins???????????

So, the SGI hood is not quite a bolt-on affair. The
fit quality leaves a little to be desired with the
shape of the rear portion of the hood not quite
matching the shape of the opening at the base of the
windshield and lots of sanding and shaping required.
The last issue I have is where to find longer hood
pins. The standard 4000/UrQ fare don't quite reach the
release mechanism, despite extending them to their
full length.

Question - Does anyone know if there are longer hood
pins in the Audi parts bin somewhere

If not, how have people modified the existing pins to
work with the SGI hood?

Any help appreciated.
