Mike,

This is indeed a good "upgrade" to the G60 setup. A friend here in
Portland has a 1987 5000tq track car that has been lightened to around the
weight of a urq (3000#). They did this upgrade and are able to brake later
at the end of the straightaways at Portland International Raceway. I think
he mentioned that pedal feel is better also.

One addition thing in your upgrade's favor is that at some point the high
performance brake pad manufacturers are going to stop making pads for cars
that are no longer in production (car with the G60 gear). The A4/TT pad is
current and should be available for a long time to come.

To address a few question easily.
1st as John mentioned you will need 16 rims or bigger. Given that we are
increasing rotor diameter by 36 mm, and after G60 there are no larger mods
I
know that run 15's, and many already running bigger tires/rims I figured
this was self evident.
2nd, this is bolt up to UrQ and type 44 G60 applications, no cutting,
welding, core returns, etc.
3rd, I know the TT is single piston vs g 60 twin. Is it a step back wards?

Well, the TT out weighs the UrQ by 500+ lbs and Audi went with the caliper
(say what you will about Audi brakes). The A8 outweighs the UrQ by 1000+
lbs and we'd use that rotor. There are listers running this set up and
I've
asked for some testimonials plus or minus.
Lastly I am looking hard at this as an option to bring our braking forward
20 years, with NOS parts, at a large savings to both factory prices and
other aftermarket alternatives. I need 10 participants to make it happen
in
its current iteration. Non other than the List Meister has also offered
his
help to get best pricing so stay tuned.
Mike
