My '83 is Mars Red and my former '85, now Bob Patore's, is Alpine White. I
love the car in white. My lest favorite are the green and the two reds. I
think black looks great, but the dark graphite looks even better, as the
metallic reflection exposes the edges of the flares. I also love the dark,
mulit-hued blue, which I thought was Helios Blue...the one on the New York
show car. Stunning for the same reason as the dark graphite metallic; the
edges come out better than on the pure black or straight blue.
Just one more opinion, but the point I wanted to make was about the edges
catching the light on the two metallics. I think that's why the Gobi and
silver look so good in some lighting situations. I think the alpine white
looks god almost in reverse...most lighting reveals a darker "shadow" at the
edges.

As someone who owns both the silver (Zermatt) and the
blue (Amazon) I agree with the post that the lighter
colors work better with the UrQ. I like my silver
better than the blue. What was the bright blue....
Helios, that always had a place in my heart.....
