You have got to be kidding, no way am I gonna put a cheap battery in my bitch, let alone something I have to cut on to make it fit in the "whole" (words removed)Bill PS peel that NASCAR sticker off that battery you purchased and stick it on your left 1/4 window glass, your car will start faster, and will accelerate faster outta the "whole" and if it won't fit all the way down? beat it down or leave out the back seat bottom cushion, fold that puppy up and stuff it in your trunk! problem gone! K?

I check the archives and a lot of people are buying
their type 41 batteries at discount places, so I
picked on up Nascar battery at Sams Warehouse. I
pulled out some type D28 battery which was sitting on
a plastic 1/2" elevator plate.
This new battery fits in the whole, but it looks like
I'm going to have to cut things off to make it drop
all the way down. Built in carrying handle and some
flanges at the top ends would have to come off.
I have the urq owners manual and the battery is
pictured on page 70. The battery hold down bracket
seems bolted to the body in the picture but mine
appears to be welded to the body.
Any tips for a neophyte D497 USA.
