[urq] Sticking Throttle Valve

I know that Phil Payne has said to never touch it, but there is a stop screw located on the lower "cam side" of the throttle body that stops the slightly oval throttle plate from wedging in the round throttle body opening. When hot, the plate may be expanding just enough to wedge.
When it's hot check with a very thin feeler gauge to see if the screw is indeed acting as a "stop". It should not (AFAIK) hold the plate open to any degree, just stop it from sticking.
Mine has recently taken to providing a nice vacuum leak for unmetered air. Taking it apart revealed a needle bearing set-up in the throttle body. I tried a machine shop to see if they would machine a bushing to fit in place of the bearing, but they weren't interested, and suggested I try to source a bearing replacement. Anyone tried this with any success?
