[urq] Is the WX engine rebuildable? Parts NLA? Can it be saved?

I recall a post on the $$ value of having a WX engine
in a urq and one respondent replied that eventually
everyone is going to end up with a MC version in
they're car - which make me think he was saying that
rebuild parts aren't available at a resonable cost.
I'm realizing I already put $1000 into my WX with a
rebuilt turbo, labor and oil hoses for the turbo. Now
I'm thinking of spending more on hoses for the oil
cooler and timing belt replacement. Emissions are
high - so who knows - mixture control unit or computer
problems? Compression was taken and is acceptable but
on the low side of acceptable (I don't have #s).
Maybe valve work or similiar is just down the road.
So - maybe I should just skip the timing belt and oil
hoses and if they fail - convert to a newer 5cyl? Is
the WX an engine that is best to give up on?
