I installed the firewall brace today along with a new master and slave cylinder.  Unbelievable difference.  My firewall was cracked very badly.  Without this brace, I'd have no choice but to remove a bunch of stuff from the engine compartment and find a willing welder.  That sounds ugly.  This brace is worth every penny, even considering that I preceded the current group buy.  I took some before and after pix and am going to post them on the Audifans registry for those interested.
