Ken,
Paint marks usually go down. However OEM springs had color codes... never
seen Eibachs with color codes... only part numbers.
Safe way is the longer springs go on front.

Subject: [urq] H&R Springs
Gentleman,
I will be installing H&R spring and Konis (thanks Martin) on my 83.
The springs came with no documentation and all four are marked
with a paint spot on one end of the spring. The two marked with blue
seem to be about 12 1/2" long and the two marked with yellow are
about 11 1/2" long. Can anyone tell me which ones go where and
if the paint mark goes up or down?
Thanks!
Ken
