gotta agree, MR 3" cutoff wheel on MR.die grinder, 20,000 rpm! cut two nuts
off, turn the stressed releived collar and whack the third bolt. 2 minutes,
screw the bolts, you can replace them, why phuck a good accordian pipe?

... I remember getting sucked into the "steak knife" fix ... this one
sounds awfully similar. Why destroy an otherwise usable part in order
to get the thing apart? It seems to me that if you can get a Sawzall in
to hack the accordion hose you should be able to get some sort of tool
in to remove/break the fasteners! There are only three at the top and
three at the bottom if memory serves ... and you don't need to remove
both sets ...
The last time I pulled the head on my car I found that I could get
enough "wiggle" out of the accordion hose to pull the flange off the
turbo outlet. I think the other end I removed was the connection to the
exhaust manifold to the wastegate ... the nuts on the turbo are titanium
and corrosion should not be a problem ... you just need to find the
proper combination of tools to get it loose!
