Andrew,
Make sure your alternator belt isn't too stretched and that your IC is
securely fastened. I've had a KNOCK from the front of the motor that was the
alternator cooling fins hitting against the IC when the engine was cold --
not good. Otherwise, just use a long screwdriver to "hear" where the knock
is coming from. Is it at idle, all the time, or only under certain
conditions?
