... the factory location is actually kinda cool IMO (no pun intended!)
... the only issue with mounting it at the oil pump relief valve is that
you have to run wires up to the part of the engine compartment that gets
very hot ...
On my car I used a VDO brass "T" and installed the oil temp sensor and
oil pressure sender with switch for idiot light in the location the oil
pressure switch is on the spark plug side of the block ... I used Teflon
insulated wires too, but that really isn't required on the cooler side
of the motor.
