All I used was large trailor rubber mudflaps... one will make two for the
car.
I like them because they went all the way to the floor covering my use of
studs on public roads.. :0
On the other hand they were very heavy and sometimes would get cought while
backing up and rip off the car.
On average I would have to refit one or two per season.

I know that Martin in Toronto has had mud flaps on his '83 because
I've seen the pictures.

If Martin can point you in the right direction, then all you'll have
to do is get some of those super-classy chrome girl silhouettes on
them.
