Secret cool sign? Enlighten me please. I don't like being on the  outside

I would bet the mortgage the leak is your heater core. Had to replace mine  a 
couple of years ago. The hardest part is the hose connections through the  
firewall. Not a lot of room on either side to manipulate some "contrary"  hoses. 
It slides out a "trap door" into the passenger footwell once  disengaged from 
the hoses. Reconnecting is the bitch part of the job. If memory  serves, the 
AC condensor is in the way as well.
Good luck. Smelling the Glycol fumes on a daily basis is not good for  you!
