[urq] New tires!

I have run the 711's for about 10k mi now. I am very pleased with the
performance. I now can stick turns at speeds that would cause the car to
drift when I had the Dunlop sp8000s. noise is not an issue, jury is
still out on the life I can get from them, but so far they appear to be
wearing better than the dunlops, I got very few miles on the dunlops
~16k before they were bald, stout suspension and driving habits I guess.
Same size as the ones you bought (the fenders are rolled on my early
83), I got from tire rack for $45 apiece....at that price I had to try
them since I was happy with the kuhmos on my 20020v

Only drawback is the speed rating is 130mph.... my 0.02

Umm, Tony 215/50/15 was never an OE size tire for an URQ in 1983, and to
keep both sides smilin' check out http://www.jibjab.com/ just for a
snicker.
and your new tires? good price! do they handle well? road noise? yes I
am
really curious since I am running Potenzas 205/60/15 on 7" wheels that
seem
to work well in terms of noise and street handling, Bill
