>From ebay listing:
"It needs the starter system trouble-shot. It will
start on the first turn most of the time, but
sometimes you have to sit there and try to start it 20
times. It is very frustrating. The engine doesn't
turn over, it just does nothing."
If he's like me he probably already replaced ignition
switch and starter and wiring. This happens even if
car is cold after 4 days of no driving. Mine
definately won't restart if it's hot - it needs to
cool for at least 15 minutes with the hood up.
Recently I noticed that for starting when cold - if I
just hold the key in the start position it may start
cranking after 5 seconds. Someone once mentioned a
wire connection near the turbo which is effected by
heat - but folks that have pulled the motor don't
recall such a connection.
I do have to buy the heat shield for the starter.
One shop suggested i put in a racing car type starter
button which I can just depress. He recommended this
and just forget starting by key.
ANyone been there done that? Sounds like it's a
common affliction. My VIN is 52 higher than this
car's 445.
