That was also my experience, at least to some extent. No warping, but quite
a bit of fade. Not a confidence booster. I have found that different pads
and the 200 vented rears improved this tremendously.
Again, pad type and braking technique will make a big difference to all of
these issues. I have been criticised for braking too long and not hard
enough initially by an instructor who has more experience with these things
under racing conditions (Ian B for the Ingos and Daves). He says that this
creates much more heat than shorter duration harder braking.
The SQ fronts changed all of this, but create their own challenges until you
get to appreciate their capabilities. I'm embarrassed to admit that I
flatted a full set of 032s the first time I took them to the track.
