[urq] Rotor Wheel Fitments

Here is a copy of some recent research I did on this subject, will also
follow up with some measured weights later this week.
I can definitely confirm by the way that you cannot put balance weights
on the inside flat part of the wheel opposite the caliper when using 15" Ronal
or Fuchs wheels with G-60 calipers. I checked out the clearances between the
G-60 calipers and some unbalanced Fuchs 7x15" wheels and it was about 0.25" to
spare all round. When I checked out the clearance with my OEM Ronal 15x6"
though I had forgotten that they had recently been expertly balanced by Curry's
here locally and duly wiped off one of the weights on rotation! There is no
problem with weights on the inside of the wheel next to the strut although the
Fuchs comes very close, as probably do the 8" Ronals, there so it might be
better to install the weights an inch or so in from the edge to clear the strut.

UrQ conversion to 1992-1994 S4/S6/V8 Brakes (G60 type)
19th February 2004, updated 20th September 2004.

To do this conversion you will need the following:
Front:
Use S4/S6 G60 Caliper/Bracket Assembly which will fit exactly on the existing
UrQ strut mounting holes.
You cannot use either the standard UrQ disc(437-615-301A) or the S4/S6
disc(441-615-301A).
The UrQ disc is very slightly too great a diameter and is not thick enough.
The S4/S6 disc is the
correct thickness and diameter but has the wrong 'top hat'/dish/offset
dimension for the UrQ hub.
Use disc from 100/200/5000 Quattro PN 447-615-301A/B. There is an equivalent
Ate Power disc you might prefer(from Z motors) PN 24.0325-0102.1(525102).
For pads suggest Hawk HPS compound pad number HB270.

Rear:
Use the complete S4/S6/V8 setup, calipers and discs. You will also need to
change to the pair of handbrake cables used on the 1984 and later 4000 Quattro.
Disc PN 857-615-601.
Suggested Hawk HPS Pad HB271.
Handbrake Cables Left 857-609-721D, Right 857-609-721E.

Suggest you discard the S4 intermediate hydraulic hose support bracket on the
front caliper(it can interfere with the strut), and replace with a suitable
SS protected Teflon line directly from the caliper to the body connection. You
could use the standard S4 hydraulic hose at the rear but it is better to
replace it with SS protected Teflon.
