[urq] Re: Alternator noise to power AMP

Well you may have something there, as I ran all wiresl through the same
"conduit" - all wrapped up nice and pretty. They only run together for a
few feet just berfore the amp, but may be enough. Also the AMP is mounted
right above the gas tank, and the AMP chassis is probably directly in
contact with it - the amp fits perfectly there. Maybe I need to change the
location - this is a big AMP and I was trying to locate it so it wouldn't
take up any "usable" trunk space.

I probably ought to get a small amp - don't need this much power. I could
probably do alright by just taking the outs directly off the stereo through
some monster cable. The stereo is 160 Watts( 40X4), so probably enough.
Then I could power a subwoofer with the Amp - I wouldn't hear any alt whine
then, correct?

The system does sound nice until I turn the engine on.
