Brandon,

My guess is that the old style (Urq) tach needs a stronger signal than the
later ones. I take it you've had this issue since install -- or is it
something new?

Subject: [urq] Dropping Tach

Guys-
....don't mean to take away from the other tach thread - but I've had a
small issue myself regarding a dropping tach - somewhat similar to what I
thought I solved when I cleaned up the instr. cluster..

here's what happens -
when doing full throttle accelerations all the way up to redline through
1st, 2nd, 3rd, the tach drops to zero (no change in motor- it keeps pulling
hard) once it gets high in the revs - like around 6000, drops to zero, I
shift, and tach recovers, and drops again when revs get real high again. It
all happens so fast it results in a tach that is swinging from 6000 to 0 to
6000 to 0 to whatever all within a couple seconds....

Thoughts?

TIA-

Brandon
