I have a 4Ga cable running from the battery to an 80Amp breaker, to the
trunk for my 2 amps, it splits in the trunk to a pair of 8Ga. The ground
cables for both amps are 8Ga screwed directly to the chassis. My head unit
power is fed from the fuse panel on a switched connection. I used hi-end
gold plated auto RCA cables, Monstercable speaker wire from the amp to the
subs, and amp to 6x9's, and have no alternator noise, but i get a tiny bit
of 'air' at very high volume, but thats earbleeding volume, 1090 watts of
Kenwood, JVC, and SONY, hard to listen to it much over 3/4 volume.
I also put new brushes/voltage regulator in my alternator a while ago, never
noticed any difference in a before/after.
