I've wondered if you were on this list.  I'm Rich, with the graphite
20v conversion that wast at PIR when Scott drove your car.  Sounds
like a very frustrating problem.

Is it possible that your throttle cable is adjusted just a bit too
short and when you do push the pedal down all the way you're tweaking
the throttle body.  If this is pulling to hard, it could be separating
the throttle body from the intake manifold slightly, creating an air
leak which would cause it to lean way out and stumble.
