Comparing 225-50's on 15x8 Ronals to the 205-55's on the 20v/V8 BBS wheels:

the tires are .02 inches taller
yielding .01 inch add'l ride height and essentially no speedometer error

each tire as mounted will be .79 inches narrow

the 11mm difference in offset coupled with the narrower tire will yield:
.183 inch increase in wheel inboard intrusion
.683 inch decrease in wheel outboard protusion
.211 inch decrease in tire inboard intrusion
1.078 inch decrease in tire outboard protrusion
1.66 inch decrease in track

This translates into:
- slightly better adhesion due to smaller contact patch
- no interference between wheel and suspension because wheel fitment
on this car is already proven
- less spray on the sides of the car due to tires being tucked further
into the wheel well.
- and whatever a narrower track will do to the handling of the car,
probably not much of concern since you may not track the snows. ;-)
