Mike,
Yeah, they are offering a run of new S4s with carbon fiber trim, special body kits and shift knobs that says 1 of 250 along with the fading ring door decals for $12k more than a regular S4. Oh boy.
I can tell you that the Euro ur quattro owners are getting pretty upset about the lack of ur quattro parts as well, and there doesn't seem to be any good news. Replacement part availability was the subject of many conversations at the celebration in Ingolstadt I am told. A friend who was at the celebration asked an Audi official about the lack of available spare parts. The apparently annoyed official pointed him to an owner's club website and said they could take care of what he needs.
FWIW, I have bought or tried to buy a few things lately, and it seems more parts are going away every day. Good thing that I bought pretty much everything that I need for my car years ago. I feel sorry for anyone who will try to restore a quattro to original condition now. Pretty all interior and trim pieces that I have looked for are NLA, except for things that you can find easily in salvage yards or that are used on other Audis.
My recommendation to anyone restoring a quattro is to get what you need ASAP while you still have a chance to get it.

Yes - I do as it happens.
The dealers are getting together and changing the NLA
abbreviation from meaning No Longer Available to mean
No Longer Available AND No Longer Affordable.
Happy Birthday quattro
Did you hear the one about the ur-q owner looking
to buy sway bar bushings and ball joints.....
Cheers, Mike

I know audi is celebrating the 25th anniversary of quattro in europe,
but does anyone know if they've got anything planned for the US
aficionados?
