Speaking of safe trek back home: I left S-fest at 8:00PM, with more than 500 km to cover before home. I made it, without a single hiccup, at 80-85 mph (more like 100 mph going up hills...), following the I-91 all the way up to Canada. But then, when I was driving the last miles of Vermont nice highways, there was a time when I didn't see a single car for more than 20 minutes)... At that precise moment, I was wondering :" What would happen if I have a failure ?"
I am in the middle of nowhere, in that hand-build German sportscar, going way too fast... This is so cool, these cars are so nice at speed, I can do this for the whole night... Wow!,I'am having one of my best motoring moment, and my only concern is: will it fail ?"
Well I guess that this is part of the Quattro experience, even if the car never let me down before. But I was like a Grand Prix driver who is about to win its first race; he is listening to all the noises is worn racecar is making, and he prays...
All that poesy is my way of thanking Gary, Felix, Michael for setting up a venue that gives me such a nice ride...
See you next years, guys !
Louis-Alain
