[urq] brake issues for urq

Many many threads on this, I will try to
find my summary on brake options for the urq.

The A4 and the urq share the same dimension hat.

Lots of A4 options, but still limited if you
want to run 8x15" Ronals, pretty rims, heavy
and performance limited to tire size, but OEM beautiful!

We are doing the SQ rotors and AP calipers in front
and the AAN S4 ventilated rotors in the rear. The
AP's are quite expensive, we found a used set 3 years
ago with SQ rotors.

The only way I see showing the car while getting the brakes
we need for 420+ HP is to have two sets of brackets, one
for the AP's and one for big reds on ECS aluminum
hated Euro 323 mm A8 rotors.

I am sure Greg Amy has a solution at Bira, so he should
also be a popular source.

The Boxster calipers are easy, and quite available and a
popular upgrade, and we use them successfully on an A4
race car, which is the same weight as the urq, but almost
175 less hp. Frankly if you are going to go
for track brakes, the 993TT calipers work best. Or
even better the 996TT but that is overkill in my estimation
and requires a different caliper bracket than I have available.

Converting back and forth from AP to Brembo may be a problem
as I am not sure what kind of thread compatibility the calipers
will have.

We use Bolero 17x8" rims
with 35ET rims with Gforce tires, 225-45-17 at the moment
but will work to get wider if we can find more front end
fender clearance.
