Great letter Jon.  I hope it gets some results.  If there is  anything that 
we can do as "listers," please let us know.  I think the  point you make about 
Audi still using footage, the early quattro's blatant  domination, and it's 
remaining legacy to push the marquee, yet  not supporting those who own, and try 
to keep these cars up and running is  imperative.  I can't think of the last 
time I saw a Porsche 917 on Ebay for  $3500.00!  
 
I hope they wake up and realize that this is a matter that could really  come 
around and hurt them in the long run not to mention, embarrass  the entire 
marquee, and be viewed as the precedent in regards to the  overall treatment of 
buyers -- especially of the low volume specialty cars  as you suggested.
