Hmm.  Glad she's running, Andrew.  As to how to tell if she's got a head
gasket leak -- one way I know of (and one which I don't like), is the
symptom of having to replace the Coolant expansion tank more often than one
should think (looking like a football is also a clue) -- due to
compression/exhaust gasses finding their way into the coolant system.  As to
noises -- sometimes the WP will be a bit noisy at first.  Just listen for
any abnormal changes in noises.  Good luck and good to have you back on the
