Last night, I replaced yet another tentacular radiator hose, the one
that runs from the bottom of the coolant recovery tank to the bottom
of the radiator.  Replaced is not quite correct as Checker just looked
at it with a blank stare... not unexpectedly.  So I bought a foot of
5/8 hose and a splice kit.

So off to my favorite watering hole to explore plan C in the previous
email thread.  I stopped into Longs Drug to by some distilled water,
just in case.  When I returned to my car, I found the gas pedal on the
floor.  blankety blank blank blank.

It had just started to rain.  I couldn't see up under the dash, so I
went back in the store to buy a flashlight.  I found one package with
a multi-use knife, right next to some camping string.  $13 later, I'm
laying on the floor getting wet, tying a knot on the end of the
accelerator cable.

So I drove a dozen blocks with hand throttle.  When I pulled into the
parking lot, it began to hail.  Marble size hail.  I sat there waiting
wondering if my back window was going to be broken out.  And what the
bloody hell I did to deserve all this.

Pretty much wore out plan C last night since I knew I wasn't driving
myself home.  Actually feel great today and could care less that the
black bitch is sitting in a bar parking lot.
