... IME the factory switches already have compliant caps.  

I would recommend against adding anything here ... it is just something
else that might fall off and get wedged in somewhere that affects your
ability to operate the vehicle.  It is a very simple matter to remove
the electrical and vacuum connections to the switch and screw them in a
turn or two until they operate properly ...
