Just wanted to document the great service I have received from Skip's Wheelwerks in Portland Oregon, see:

They are a small, family-owned operation, specializing in repair and customizing of wheels as well as standard tire mounting and wheel balancing. Over the years, Skip has straightened delicate BBS splitties, rebeaded forged Fuchs wheels that rusted in a NE junkyard before I got them, and unbent all four of my (F*ck those stupid soft things!) 8x15 Ronal R8's among other tasks. 

Today I stopped in, crestfallen that one of the 8x17 Audi Bolero wheels I got on sale from worldimpex.com arrived improperly packed with the clearcoat scuffed on the polished lip.
I handed him the wheel and we chatted for a few minutes while he worked 2 grades of rubbing compound over the scratches.  He handed it back, free of charge, wheel looking beautiful again.  It wasn't a huge freebie but it was a warm gesture when I was feeling kind of bummed about worldimpex's service (they still haven't called me back) and it made my day. Skip isn't the cheapest place to get wheel work done, but will always be my choice.  I recommend them highly.
