[urq] cooling system

At 3am last Saturday when I stopped for COFFEE on my way to the Pikes
Peak Hillclimb, my urq sprang a coolant leak right next to the clamp
holding the hose to the thermostat housing.
I replaced the hose last night along with the thermostat and the
thermo-time switch for the cold start valve. I drove it around the
neighborhood and checked everything, then let it sit and checked
everything. No leaks.
When I arrive to work this morning, there was a small leak, at a
different place, I think at the bottom of the hose that goes from the
coolant recovery tank down to the bottom of the radiator.
I noticed bubbling/boiling sounds in the upper hose just near the
head. I carefully loosened the cap to relieve pressure. Later when I
drove the car home at lunch, I left the cap just barely loose so as
not to build up too much pressure in the system and force the leak
again. I also opened up the heater valve all the way and made sure
not to use any boost on the way home. No leaking on the way or when I
arrived. But I listened again at the upper hose and heard some
boiling/bubbling inside again.
Is this indicative of any particular problem? Or might it be
considered normal? Two coolant leaks back-to-back could be
coincidence, I suppose...
