[urq] Problems with my 83

If you do see a few new drops after each drive - my logic tells me you have
a leak while the motor is running - and it goes away at shut down when the
oil settles....
my guess....

If you mean when I lift off of the gas? No it does not smoke. There is a
slight
black (sooty looking) color to the exhaust at idle. Generally, when the car
sits in the garage over night there is a little oil on the ground, but it is
only a few drops. Appears to be coming from around the oil pan.
Now the true dilemma, should I work with what I have (i.e. fix the current
problems: wiring, oil cunsumption, turbo rebuilt, etc.) or should I
introduce
new/different challenges by going with an engine swap? I have been reading a
bit about swapping the 91 200tq 20v motor and have considered this option.
Any
suggestions?
Thanks
Nate
