       John, I had mine completely reconditioned in 2002 due to the debris 
blocking up the screen filter in the bottom of the tank. It was done locally by 
a franchised 'RENU' dealer which I found and researched on the web. They cut 
the bottom out of the tank, remove the screen completely clean/sandblast the 
inside, replace with a patch where they cut in, flow in a new plastic liner 
which is then oven-baked in place, and then paint/undercoat the exterior. A small 
plaque is affixed to the outside of the tank and it is guaranteed for ever. 
Cost $400 though. You might want to consider it as even if you get a tank from a 
scrapyard cheaply it probably will have the same problems you have now 
anyway.
