Dennis,
Wow that car is a mess, glad to hear you are doing OK. I agree with other
listers it is totally able to be repaired. You're in the Denver area? There is a
body guy I know from when he lived in the Portland area, Jim Payne, truly an
artist. Believes in metal finishing, with a minimum of fillers. I don't know
how to get in touch with him but can find him if you wish.
He repaired a 76' 912E Porsche for me some time ago, looked better than I
possibly could have imagined. Some one had driven over the front end from the
side. And, if you want, I just purchased John Karaski's 85 Coupe for the dash,
harness/fuse box, and hyd system to place into my 83 UrQ, you are welcome to
the roof and a driver's door I already have, if you want them. Then you would
just need the front fender and valance and a few other pieces.
Someone mentioned that Audi is making new fenders for the UrQ, if that's
remotely true how do we get a hold of them. I was planning on grafting together
the front of a stock coupe fender to my UrQ fenders to resolve a rust in the
headlight encloseure area issue.
