Funny you mention that. I thought my car was alone in that scenario. When I  
first put my car back together after purchase, it had a wedge burned through 
#2  as well. It defied any attempt to set the duty cycle. Get it set, test 
drive,  way off, etc. etc.
I hope that isn't your case Ingo, and I doubt it is,  but.......
