I can make Santa Cruz- in fact I'll be making numerous trips up to the 
San Jose area over the next few months for some other Porsche/VW race 
car projects so it'd be easy to pop over to SC one morning.  I' m still 
up for investigating a more southerly gathering, maybe a "North meets 
South" kinda thing?  As Steve said later in the year might work better 
because tourist season is taking off at the moment, and I'm in the 
midst of trying to buy a home and laying plans to start a shop of my 
own so with any (lot of) luck things will have calmed down by then.  If 
all goes (really, really, miraculously, unbelievably) well I'll have 
enough room to park everyone's car at the house and a shop for tech 
sessions! :D
