I thought that other round thing on the left side of the window switches was
another cig lighter plug. It doesn't seem to be a knob that can be pulled.
Besides, the '85 had the rotary switch, so that would've been a bigger mod
beyond the switch in the console (right?). That whole panel is different
than what I have in my car too. Is that one of the "crossover" pieces from
'84 to '85?
 I hate those wheels on it. I doubt they're necessary for the brakes either.
I would think 17's would be enough for whatever A4 relevant brakes they
used. Then again, I'm not at all familiar with what's available for
upgrading A4 brakes.
