A couple of pictures made me wonder about the registration process in
Germany:
Is the plate number owned by someone (in this case, Audi) and can be used
on any car this entity owns ?
What made me wonder is this vehicle:

The plate number IN-NJ 66 was the registration number on one of the first
press urQuattro, a Mars red car (like mine...) that we saw many times in
the reports of the era.
More, if you have the Tamiya plastic model kit of the road car, it
precisely wear that number but on a silver car!

So, does anybody knows how a "mythic" plate number can change vehicle that
often ?
