Thanks Bob,
I made this image my 'wallpapaer':
http://maxboostracing.com/gallery/audi25/800x600/Web/NA2F0456.html
In case none of you could tell, Bob & I were on this trip together. We
generally laugh afterwards 'cuz our pictures are almost identical. Our
third travel companion was Angelo and he captured all the video images on
this trip. I have yet to see them, but I understand the footage of the
factory race cars rippin' up the parking lot came out good.
To address Louis-Alain's question, I think the vehicle you're talking about
in my pictures is one that was never meant for road use. They may have used
that registration plate for little more than photo-ops and to cover the
mounting area. I'd sure like to know if anyone has a better knowledge of
that sort of thing.

Wow!, Mark and Cody,
Re: the Ingolstadt 25 year album (http://5000tq.com/audifanspics/MarkJBesso

Thanks a lot for posting these, since it is almost as good as being there
in person !
A couple of pictures made me wonder about the registration process in
Germany:
Is the plate number owned by someone (in this case, Audi) and can be used
on any car this entity owns ?
What made me wonder is this vehicle:

http://5000tq.com/audifanspics/albums/Ingolstadt/DSCN2817.sized.jpg
The plate number IN-NJ 66 was the registration number on one of the first
press urQuattro, a Mars red car (like mine...) that we saw many times in
the reports of the era.
More, if you have the Tamiya plastic model kit of the road car, it
precisely wear that number but on a silver car!
see (http://www.urquattro-club.de/grafik/tamiya_quattro_1.jpg)
So, does anybody knows how a "mythic" plate number can change vehicle that
often ?

Due to Cody's generous offer of space for Audi pictures I've posted some.
Actually, I've posted 340 pictures to be exact! The images are from a
recent trip to two of Audi's facilities in Germany as they celebrated the
25th anniversary of the Quattro. (Neckarsulm & Ingolstadt)

I don't know the owners of any of these vehicles. If they belong to
someone
on this list I'll gladly add the pertinent information ,or remove the
image if you prefer. Contact me off-list in either way.
Thanks again, Cody,
~Mark
